Our History
Established in 2002 as an Agency for Persons with Disabilities, Care When You Need It was contracted to provide Supported Living, In-Home Support, and Companion Services to adults on the Florida Med-Waiver Program. In this position, we ensure a safe and active inclusion in the community. As a supported living coach, we managed all aspects of their financial and medical affairs.
About Katina Williams
In 2011, Katina Williams completed Florida and National competency exam to serve as a Professional Guardian. As a Guardian, Katina manages the affairs of someone who has been judged unable to manage their own affairs. Katina assumes the rights of the ward and makes decisions about many aspects of their daily life.
In 2014, Katina successfully completed the Florida Examining Committee Training. In this position, Katina assesses the alleged incapacitated person’s mental health and provide recommendations to the court as to whether a guardianship should be initiated. We are currently serving Orange, Seminole, and Lake Counties.
In 2015, Katina was appointed as an Eldercaring Coordinator for the Ninth Circuit, mediating high conflict guardianship cases. Katina is approved by the Florida Supreme Court as a Certified Family Mediator 33051F.
